Adwerk is a curated collection of REX's commercial work, divided into three sections—posters designed for bars and nightlife venues, private portrait commissions, and commercial artwork created for products such as poppers and phone sex services.

These pieces reveal a different side of REX: still charged with eroticism and symbolism, but tailored to real-world uses and paying clients. His posters for the Mineshaft, Black and Blue, and other legendary venues didn't just promote nightlife—they helped define it, establishing the visual language of leather iconography that persists to this day.

The portrait commissions show REX as a portraitist of remarkable sensitivity, combining eroticism with unexpected vulnerability. His commercial illustrations for BOLT poppers and gay phone sex services feature men in exaggerated, almost Mannerist poses—an erotic style all his own.
